Meet our Honorary Guests
First of all, our Grand Opening on June 7 in Warsaw will be honored by the presence of His Excellency the Ambassador of the United States to Poland, Mark Brzezinski. Ambassador Brzezinski emphasizes that he supports women, gender equality, and believes that diversity and inclusion are the basis of a better and more sustainable future. We will also host other great special guests: Rafał Trzaskowski, Mayor of Warsaw and Justyna Orłowska, Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for GovTech. We will be honored also by the presence of the very dear guest: Roza Otunbayeva, f.President of The Kyrgyz Republic, responsible for Women in STEM revolution in this country.

As you already know, Summit is primarily about women and their tech, scientific and inventive superpowers. That's why our Special Guest will be Dr. Rumman Chowdhury - who created a first-in-industry algorithmic Fairness Tool to identify and mitigate bias in AI systems. She’s a pioneer in the field of applied algorithmic ethics, creating cutting-edge socio-technical solutions for ethical, explainable and transparent AI. Her extensive knowledge, deep understanding and social commitment open the way for new technologies to make the world better and more sustainable. She is currently the Director of META (ML Ethics, Transparency, and Accountability) team at Twitter. Dr. Chowdhury holds two undergraduate degrees from MIT, a master's degree in Quantitative Methods of the Social Sciences from Columbia University.
Artificial Intelligence learns from Women
And speaking of A.I., it’s worth mentioning that as part of the preparations for the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022, we have created the TOP-100 Women in AI list – a non-ranked list of exceptional women (Polish and foreign, but working in Poland) professionally specializing in AI. The goal of this list is to showcase the achievements of women in the area of AI, and – more broadly – in the tech industry and to inspire the younger generation to take interest in this area.
On 7 June in Warsaw the jury chaired by Professor Aleksandra Przegalińska, real AI star:), will select from among the TOP-100 Women in AI the Top of the Top, i.e. the 10 most prominent female AI experts in Poland, who will receive the Excellence in AI Awards. Come celebrate their success with us on the first day of the Summit!
